Ambitious student projects need capable guides. This live professional-development program gives educators practical experience of framing a problem, building a solution, testing what happens, and improving what fails.
Designed for mixed proficiency: newer participants develop confidence through creation, while experienced participants can move into more ambitious applications.
Configured AI experience
Create an assistant or workspace around a specific need. Learn instructions, context, knowledge, verification, and AI behavior.
Applied AI solution
Combine information, files, tools, and multi-step processes into a more capable solution to a real problem.
Functional prototype
Take a problem from concept through development, testing, iteration, and a final demonstration.
Six sessions. Three builds.
2 hours per sessionLearn the essential concepts for building with AI: instructions, context, knowledge, verification, capabilities, and limitations. Apply each concept immediately.
Output Configured AI assistant or workspace
Identify a real problem. Define the user, desired outcome, inputs, information, and steps, then create the first working version of an applied AI solution.
Output Applied Solution V1
Extend your solution with relevant files, information, tools, or multi-step workflows. Test realistic situations, identify failures, and improve its performance.
Output Tested Applied Solution V2
Select a more ambitious real-world problem. Define requirements and constraints, map how the solution should work, and develop its first functional version.
Output Functional Prototype V1
Expand functionality and deliberately test accuracy, usefulness, edge cases, failure points, and responsible use. What fails becomes part of the learning process.
Output Tested Prototype V2
Refine and demonstrate your prototype, explain your decisions, identify limitations, and reflect on the process. Translate that experience into principles for facilitating student AI projects.

Recommended cadence: two sessions per week.
Each participant needs access to the AI environment used in training. If your institution does not provide this access, participant licenses can be provisioned at an additional cost. Dates and delivery arrangements are confirmed with your institution.
